  • Charlie's Woodworks - A New Side Gig
I have been a amateur wood worker for as long as I can remember. Wood is such a great natural material that can be crafted into many useful products. I also have had an interest in computers since the early 70's. Since then I have operated many different computer systems. The power of these machines today is incredible. The development of CNC {Computer Numerical Control} software allows the computerized operation of machining tools such as a router or laser. I use these tools to create the products I sell. Being retired in western North Carolina provided me with plenty of time to make signs, furniture and other crafts for my mountain community neighbors ( a great gang of fun people ). That took a turn in 2024 when I got my first laser. The ability of these machine to create detail objects is amazing. I decided to make this new found ability into a one man, side gig (job) to support my other hobby - older performance cars. Thanks for visiting CWW. Charlie Cristiano

  • Can I Use A Candle Or Lighted Flame In My Lantern?
All lanterns are constructed of wood and are flamable, CWW does not recommend the use of candles or other open flames in our lantern. See FAQ - Lantern Suggestions. Safety First!
  • My Wood Stain Doesn't Match The Color I Selected?
As with all wood products - stains and the shades they produce are affected by the species of the wood. The stain shades can appear different even in the same batch of wood.
  • Lantern - Suggestions - Spare Parts
Tea Lamps - the small flicker led lights are admittedly not that bright. Using the included small plastic cup to raise the tea light will greatly improve it's effect. The led lights use a CR2032 lithium battery. Available at Lowes, Home Depot, or Amazon. Most lanterns include some spare parts such as the top ornament, led flicker light, and plastic cup.
  • Carpenter Bee Trap Suggestions
Traps should be placed where the insects are active. The bees leave pheromones in their nesting holes. This attracts the bees and they will use an exist hole again. Seal these holes by placing a small piece of aluminum foil in the hole followed by caulking. Leaving a few dead bees in the collection jars will help attract to the trap. Inspect the traps in the fall, cleaning out any spiders or mud dabber nests.
  • Can I Use My Lantern Outside?
All lanterns can be used outside but, should not be left outside as the wood will be effected by the humidity outside which could cause the wood to warp.
